Acrylic Paint, Utensils, Modeling paste on canvas - 36” x 24” - unframed
Discarded utensils were collected from the art classroom and school building. The concept was formed around the idea that the abandoned utensils would no longer create art being that they were dropped and carelessly left on the floor. The utensils were strategically attached to the canvas using modeling paste to create a rhythmic flowing motion upward. Acrylic paint was then added to the background and on some of the utensils in a large gradation. This gave the painting/assemblage a glowing affect.
